Beth Israel Deaconess Underground Storage Tank Upgrade

The sump installation was started by breaking the cement pad and digging out the old sump. After disconnecting the old sump from the tank it was removed, and a new 42” total containment sump was installed. CommTank reconnected the fuel oil suction lines and the fuel oil return lines. We then installed new valves and tested the piping to a working pressure of 100 psig. The fuel lines passed the test and we backfilled the area around the sump with pea gravel. Once the backfill was compacted we restored the cement pad around the new sump.
