Our Coronavirus Decontamination Process

  • Seal off the affected area.
  • Prepare disinfectant solutions registered with the EPA for eliminating the COVID-19 virus.
  • Use a pump sprayer and/or spray bottle to disinfect areas up to 6 ft. from the floor.
  • Test cleaned surfaces using an ATP Hygiene Monitoring System.
  • Remove any contaminated material and dispose of it properly.

Decontamination and Sanitizing For COVID-19 in Large Areas

CommTank offers disinfection of large areas using high output ozone shock treatment. Ozone is more effective than bleach in destroying viruses and bacteria. It decomposes rapidly and leaves no harmful residuals. A cleaning cycle takes 4-5 hours. The process is safer than exposing workers to residues that aerate during manual cleaning. It is important to seal off the area to be treated when using Ozone because high ozone levels are harmful when inhaled, it also allows treatment areas to maintain constant ozone concentration levels. CommTank technicians verify target ozone levels using a portable Ozone monitor. Technicians enter the space using full-body suits and supplied air masks. Treatment monitoring allows us to adjust concentrations and verify dispersal to all areas of the treatment zone.

Once the treatment cycle is complete, negative air machines are used to pull ozone from the area and restore it to a normal air mix. Technicians then measure the hygienic status of surfaces using an ATP hygiene monitoring system. The monitoring system verifies that the cleaning procedure worked.
